A countdown widget for Notion
Days, hours and minutes to an exam, a launch, a trip or a birthday — right on your Notion page. Or a simple D-day counter. Free, no account, and it follows Notion’s light and dark mode.
1Set it up
Color
2Copy the link
The countdown uses the time zone of whoever opens the page. After the date it keeps counting up.
Add it to Notion
- 1Copy the widget link.
- 2In any Notion page type
/embed, press Enter, paste the link and click Embed link. - 3Drag the corners of the embed to resize it. A short embed — about 200 px high — looks best.
What people count down to
Exams and assignment deadlines on a student dashboard, a product launch on a team page, a trip or a wedding in a planner, the end of a sprint. With the D-day style the widget shows just “D-23” — the way many planners in Korea and Japan count days to an event.
A date in the link or your next deadline
Any date in the link
Pick a date and an optional time — the link carries everything. Nothing to connect, nothing stored.
The nearest deadline from Notion
Point the widget at a database with a date property — goals, exams, releases. After every sync it counts down to the next date that hasn’t passed yet.

FAQ
Is the countdown widget free?
Yes — no account and no limits. Only the version that reads deadlines from your Notion database needs an IVGraph account.
How do I add a countdown to Notion?
Set the date above, copy the link, type /embed in a Notion page, paste the link and click Embed link.
Which time zone does it use?
The time zone of the person who opens the page. If you set only a date, the countdown ends at midnight of that day for every viewer.
What happens after the date?
The widget switches to counting up: “D+5” in D-day style, or days and hours since the date in the full style.
Can I have several countdowns on one page?
Yes — make a link for each date and add several embeds. Each one is independent.
