Notion Mind Map Maker
Notion has no built-in mind map, but it draws Mermaid diagrams from a code block. Type an indented list — get the code, paste it into Notion, done. Nothing you type leaves your browser.
Preview could not be drawn. Try “Tree → right” — it uses older Mermaid syntax that every Notion version renders.
How to paste it into Notion
- In a Notion page type
/codeand press Enter to add a code block. - Click the language name in the block’s corner and choose Mermaid.
- Paste the code. Switch the block view to Preview or Split to see the diagram.

FAQ
Is this tool free? Do I need an account?
Free, no account. The code is generated in your browser; your text is not sent anywhere.
How do I write the outline?
One idea per line. Indent a line (spaces or Tab) to make it a branch of the line above. Bullets like “-” or “1.” and Markdown headings are understood too, so you can paste a list from Notion or a doc.
Can I change the diagram after pasting it into Notion?
Yes — it is plain text in a code block. Edit the lines in Notion, or come back here, change the outline and paste the new code.
Can Notion build a mind map of my real pages?
Not by itself. IVGraph connects to your workspace and draws every page, backlink and database relation as an interactive 3D graph — no outline to type.
